Questions for 17.3.11

Calculate wavelengths using the given frequencies in the formula in the powerpoint we used last week:

1. 1000 Hz
2. 3500 Hz
3. 70 Hz
4. 563 Hz

Rearrange the formula wavelength = wave speed / frequency to calculate the frequencies of the following wavelengths:

1. 200nm
2. 3.5m
3. 1cm
4. 60cm

Remember that wavelengths always need to be in meters, and  frequency is always measured in hertz.

This is the video we used to introduce the electromagnetic spectrum.  Remember how small the visible spectrum is and what other wavelengths are (microwave, infared, radio etc.)
